Look What We Made

With our husbands hard at work everyday the estrogen got to us, ("The Wives Club" as we refer to ourselves) and we decided to do a craft day. headbands! We thought it would be a fairly easy project, one that we could actually finish with kids running around. And luckily for us it was. We were having so much fun creating them that before we knew it we had more headbands than we knew what to do with. So now I have a headband for everyday of the week, well, just about. A lot for a girl who never wore them before. I am thinking about setting up a booth down in DC and trying to sell them on the street. Like kids selling Lemonade, maybe somebody will feel bad for me and donate a dollar.

Super Hero Party

Due to the high volume of Super Hero movies Devin and his boys have gone back to their younger years reminiscing about The Hulk, Transformers, Batman, & The X-Men to name a few. So when it was time to plan a Surprise Birthday Party for our friend Seth, coming up with the theme was a cinch. Of course we would do a Super Hero Party. Everyone had to come dressed up as their favorite Super Hero. The Catch was that we didn't tell anyone about the dressing up part until a few hours before the party. Being a Sunday kept all of us at home so we had to get really creative to come up with costumes. Devin chose easy with Mr. Incredible. I was a little more enthusiastic about dressing up and made myself a Wonder Woman costume. Also showing up at the party we had Batman, Catwoman, Wolverine, and Lady Deathstrike.
Happy 4th of July!

Devin and I have been doing summer sales for 5 summers now. Since 4th of July is one of the biggest sales days of the year that also means 5th summers of celebrating the 4th of July without my Husband :( However this year we decided that we, "The Wives Club" could celebrate on our own. It is not Independence Day if you don't have a BBQ, So we did just that. Headed out to the park and had ourselves a BBQ. We realized we should be doing this more often as the girls, since realistically we do all the preparing of the food and everything else anyway... :) The weather was perfect and we had a great time. Even Ashley and the newest member of our group, Baby Merrick (one week old) made it out to the BBQ.
Fireworks!

Still not sure how it happened but Devin got off work and home early enough to go out to see the fireworks. He caught me totally off guard I was home taking a siesta when he came in and told me to hurry and get ready, "We're going to the fireworks" He didn't have to ask me twice. We went with our friends Seth and Momi and their adorable little boy Sol.
