The Moment we've all been waiting for !!!!!!!!

For many of you this will come as an announcement--- Jessica is Pregnant !!!!!!! We are so excited to step into this next chapter of our lives.
***I was excited to see our baby wave to us today during the ultra sound :) Our next visit to the doctor I'm going to see if the baby will give me the PEACE sign.
Stay tuned for any and all updates.

Family Costumes

This is such a funny holiday. Here are some more costumes; Zach & Erika as "Charlotte's Web", Jace & Rhett as "Army Commandos", and Jessica & Devin as "Basketball Player & Hoop"

Friend Halloween Party

Following a long tradition we gathered together with the same group of High School friends to catch up on the past year, eat some grub, have an intense costume competition, and play "Mafia". The Polygamists, Reno with his two wives Melanie and Natalie, took the close second place behind the Twilight duo (Edward and Rosalie), Cody and Jessie. Jess and I thought our original idea of a basketball player and the hoop would take it... I guess not. We'll step up our A Game for next year. Natalie was not the only one who came without her other half, Carolyn also left Gabe back in Omaha. We had a great time but will have to say that playing Mafia with this crowd is becoming increasingly difficult. Its hard to lie around a group of people that know you so well. Good times.

West Yellowstone (Family Vacation)

Some people stereotype "family vacations" as something boring, tiresome, agonizing, and painful. But it is quite the OPPOSITE when it comes to a Gibbs family outing. I have been going on vacations with this family since I was 16 so I guess I just know how to party with them. We started out with a nice drive to Grandma Moon's in Idaho Falls where Grandma had a great meal waiting for us (as always:)) and then headed up to Yellowstone. Diane put us up in a very nice resort hotel with a large three bedroom suite that we all shared. It was chilly for the first few days so we enjoyed lots of games and food. But we did venture out and almost saw all the animals on out list. The only animals we missed were a moose, zebra, and a giraffe.:) We were excited to see the Elk and Buffalo at first but then there were so many that we almost had to ram them with the car to get home. It was wonderful to see all of the beautiful things God created up there and the patience that we all learned waiting for "Old Faithful". The waterfalls and canyons would have been a little more enjoyable as well if the wind hadn't chilled us to the bone. I learned two things on that trip; Zach likes to eat allot, and Rhett always feels jipped in the "boring" side of the car window with no animals in sight:) Sorry Rhett... Ill let you drive next time:)

Witches Night Out

I claim NO responsibility for what these girls are up to. I was actually not even in the same State.
Garner Village got quite the treat when this group of Witches showed up. Mom, Holly, Aubrella, Jessica, Kate, Nan, Amanda, and Kristin all got dressed up for a night of shopping and spell casting. Apparently they all enjoyed themselves and the fun things they saw.

Dad's 50th Birthday

It wouldn't be Dad's Birthday without his famous request for Cherry Chip cake with pink frosting. We enjoyed good company as we had dinner, watched football, ate cake, and played "Heavy Heavy Hang Over Thy Poor Head". Congrats Dad on making it to the BIG 50!!!
Check out these pics. I guess I was never raised eating food in front of the T.V. so I feel like this mini table is very odd. (I feel like I should be in a mobile home)

Pirate Party

Arrrrr. What an evening! Jessica makes one hot pirate!!! Cody and Devry Gray, our friends down the street invited us to a great party. They went all out to make sure we felt like Pirates and had great food. We even played Pirate games and all went home with some gold coins in our pockets:) I think mine were chocolate though. I wish they were real.

Murder Mystery: 50's Night

Zach and Erika invited us all to a Murder Mystery Dinner in which we all played a part but only one of us was "guilty". Jessica was a Reporter. I was a Golfer. Cicily was a Night Club Owner. Dave was a Baseball Player. Erika was a Dancer. Zach was a "Booze" Business Man. We had a great time eating an authentic Chicago style meal while solving the mystery. CICILY acted soo innocent but ended up being the "guilty" one.

Perfect Family Gathering (October 2009)

After Priesthood Session we were able to get the whole family together at Texas Road House in America Fork. We had such a great time celebrating Jace's return from Army training and great spiritual guidance from the brethren. Easton was being so lively, handsome and entertaining. He kept us laughing all night long. Its not too often that we can get the whole family together so we just soaked the night in and enjoyed being a family. :)

Profile: Rhett aka- Rostafarian

Now our little brother Rhett is no longer so little. He officially towers over everyone except maybe Brooks. Rhett is finishing up his last year in high school and is leaving every girl in school wanting. He wins the "Dashing Devil" award with his good looks and charm. Just check out this sweet pic!!!

Profile: Jace and Kassi

Congratulations for Jace and Cassie's Engagement!!!!!!
We were so excited for Jace to get back from a grueling 3 months of Boot Camp. We thought the Army would toughen him up to go to battle but instead he came home with the kindest heart and an increased outlook on life. And apparently Kassi was right in the middle of that new Vision.
But he really did come back a bigger tougher man. I would like to take this moment to publicly admit that Jace now is a great contender after all these years of wrestling. He is sooo excited to finally beat up his big brother Devin. Bring it on Jace.
(unofficially) Welcome to the family Kassi.

Profile: Zach and Erika Barney

Zach was the latest (official) addition to the family and we are realizing more and more how valuable he is to us. He treats our little Erika like a Princess and has even beat Cicily and I to the Graduation Ceremony. (Remember that Dave got enough education for the whole family so Zach's graduation was just "extra credit") Erika is pretty much the Rock Star of the medical assistant realm and never ceasing to amaze us all with laughs, giggles, and snorts. :)

Profile: Devin and Jessica

I love her so much !
Need I say more?

Profile: Dave, Cicily, and Easton Oldham

Dave and Cicily are the maturity and brains of the family and Easton is the cutest of us all. Dave's creative genius is about to take over the world and Cicily's style and sense of fashion is keeping the world running. We enjoy having them as a integral part of our wonderful family. Love you guys.

The Girls vs. The Boys

These pictures were so great I decided to profile a few of our family members. Here is a classic shot of the Girls being "Girls" and the Boys being "Boys"

Family Picture Time Again? (October 2009)

When Family Picture time rolls around we get all the usually mumblings and grumblings that come with trying to sit still, juggle everyone around, wrestle with the little ones, and trying to get the one brother to smile while every muscle in your face is aching from smiling too much:):):):):):):):):):(:(:(:(:(
Here is the whole family (except dad). What a great lookin bunch of folks.

A Little Utah Camping. (September 2009)

Once we were back in Utah I had an itch for some camping! Jessica is not much of the "camping" type but she was sooo fun to drag along. By the look of how much we packed you would have thought that we were going for a week long excursion to the Grand Tetons but in actuality we just went for 2 days up to Cascade Springs. The view was beautiful and the forest smelled so grand! I was even relieved to get No Cell Reception so I could enjoy the peace and quiet :) Jessica really enjoyed that part. But even though we escaped everything to be alone in the mountains we still reverted back to the comforts of the modern day by climbing in the back of our SUV and watching a DVD. We are too spoiled. Oh yea you'll laugh at this one to... we brought up our tent that sleeps 8 people so we could blow up our queen size air mattress and sleep in luxury. The only thing that was tough was finding a spot big enough to pitch that huge tent. Good thing I brought my shovel because I spent a good 30min clearing my own plot in the wilderness. It worked perfect.
In the morning I woke up early enough to surprise Jessica with a quality Peterson style camping breakfast (sparing no expense). Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes, and Orange Juice is the way to roll!!! We really enjoyed the time together.

Time off at the Beach (August 2009)

Jessica and I sure did enjoy our last fling down to the beach. The water was warm, the crowds were friendly, and perfect weather to kick off the shoes and walk in the sand. Andrew and Ashley came along and helped us take a few family pictures for the road. I wonder if we will ever find ourselves back on the east coast? You never know. In 2005 as we left Virginia Beach to head back to Utah I would've been shocked to think I would come back for so many consecutive years. You got to love what life gives ya!
